In October 2004 we managed a quick break in Anstruther – in Fife, near to St Andrews. I had been procrastinating making a booking and Sandy took things into his own hands and booked a flat in Anstruther – it was lovely.

For the time of year, the weather was great. We managed quite a bit of walking and found some great places to eat. The famous fish and chip shop in Anstruther was beautiful – and, if you want to travel further afield, The Doll’s House in St Andrews served us one of the best meals we’ve tasted in years.

The flat itself was comfortable and bijou! There was a nice bedroom with twin beds, a bathroom and a kitchen/living room.
